Description
Do you like coffee with character? A cafetière gives your coffee more body, aroma and texture than other coffee making methods. Moreover, you can make the coffee according to your personal preference and making coffee is also very easy. You first fill the cafetiere with coarsely ground coffee and pour hot water that has just finished boiling. You let the coffee brew and then slowly push the ground coffee beans down with the sieve. Because of this pushing, a cafetière is also called a French press.
Coarser grind
The choice of quantity and type of coffee beans is up to you, depending on your taste. In terms of type of beans, Arabica or Robusta is usually used. As a guideline, you can use about 25 grams of coffee for the content of 350 ml. It is important that you use a somewhat coarser mailing, otherwise you will have too many particles left in your coffee.
More flavor
You can also influence the taste with the brewing time. On average, you let the coffee steep for about 4 to 5 minutes before pushing the sieve down. The longer you let the coffee steep, the more flavor you get. However, waiting too long can also negatively affect the taste. Please note that this method of making coffee leaves more cafestol in the coffee, which can raise cholesterol.
User-friendly
This Alpina cafetière is user-friendly and makes delicious coffee, which costs you relatively little. It has a capacity of 350 ml, good for approximately 3 cups of coffee. The cafetière has a stainless steel holder and filter. Handy, because stainless steel repels corrosion and bacteria. You can remove the glass from the holder so that you can easily clean it. The holder also has a handle and the glass has a spout, making it easy to pour the coffee.
